Biography
Dr. Shawna Dias earned her Ph.D. in communication from the University of Maryland, College Park, where she specialized in public relations, emphasizing behavioral health intervention, DEIB, and organizational crisis communication. Her published research examines the role of reputation management during compounding health crises, leadership development in public relations practice, student perceptions of inclusivity and mental health in higher education, and the influences of specific message frames and social support groups on intervention campaign outcomes. Dr. Dias is presently a senior researcher at Hanover Research Council, where she leads projects and provides clients with critical intelligence and strategic direction for mitigating risks and gaining new business.
